She's still doing swimming. She's 1/2 way through a session of lessons, and after that, she'll probably take a break for awhile. Maybe until Feb. or so. She'll have basketball from Dec.-end of Feb./beginning of March. The other thing about the lessons is that she seems to have basically "topped out" of the lessons they offer at the Y. She's in the Advanced class now, and to be honest, they don't seem to be teaching her much else than she already knows. They do offer a "stroke school" (morbid name, in my opinion... they mean swimming strokes, not the medical emergency). This is a "prerequisite" to the youth swim team. I'd like to see her do something like that. I'll have to find out more about that.
I have my "Run of Many Colors" 5k this Saturday. I'm excited, and so far I haven't injured myself. I got hurt the Thursday before my 1st 5k. I will not learn my lesson about running at all on Thursday, but I wont do the treadmill (I've been doing probably 2/3 outside, 1/3 on treadmill). My doctor thinks the treadmill is more dangerous, injury-wise. It is easier on my joints though (not to mention more climate controlled). I did not end up doing that 8k I had considered. I just wasn't ready for it. Instead we went to the fair that evening.
I will post some pics from the Color Run next week.
