It was fun. The race itself went fairly well. Now granted, it was super humid (according to weather.com, 100% humidity. I didn't even realize that was possible without it raining). But just the same, the race was quite fun. A little grassier/wet than I'm used to, but that's not a huge deal). Despite having to take a few short walking breaks better than last time. My time was 34 minutes. Last time it was 36.46 (give or take 10 seconds). I was injured the last time, but due to that injury I was out for month. So considering the humidity, slowing down for color blasts, and the fact that I wasn't as prepared as I would have liked, not super bad.
After the race, there were "color celebrations" where people threw their color packets up, and these device that looked like fire hydrants were utilized. Emma had a really great time with the color part. I'm really glad I did the race. I'm posting some pictures of the event.
I am signed up to do another 5K in a few weeks. I had been waiting to make sure this race went alright before I registered for the next one. Since it did, I did. :)
