We don't know who her teacher is yet. I wish we did, and it would be even better to find out who is in her class. That is just part of the fun of the first day, I guess. I would like to know the teacher, though.
In the next two weeks, we will have to do our back-to-school shopping. We don't have a big budget for clothes, especially since she got a lot of new stuff at the beginning of the summer. We will get a few things, though. I like her to have new stuff to wear the first day, and stuff like that. We will also need school supplies (my favorite- yes, I'm a nerd). I love when Walmart has the 10 cent glue sticks, 25 cent crayola crayons, etc. I have a list that I got from the school's website. I am not sure if it's this year's list, though. Walmart has lists out, usually, of all the local schools. When I when to Walmart last, the stuff was not out. That was before the 4th of July, though. I am pretty sure the stuff will be out now.
So, anyway, we have two weeks to get ready for school, and to finish our summer. There were so many things that I wanted to do with Emma that I didn't do. I will try to get in some fun activities in the weeks that follow. It is hard to do things outside, since it's been soo hot! Oh, well. It is, as they say, what it is. :)
We did see the fireworks for the 4th. Here are a few pictures.
watching fireworks!
We didn't get a chance to get her face painted at the event, so I promised her I would paint it. She wanted to be a clown. :)
