Keeping busy

So Emma completed her last group swimming lesson last week (the intermediate class). This week she resumed the private lessons, which she prefers. They do cost more, but she gets more out of them. She might start stroke school before long (which is a pre-req. for their youth swim team).

I have been training for my 5k. Today I ran 2.5 miles straight. Including the little walk warm-up and cool down, I went 3 miles. There is 2 weeks till my race, and I'm excited! My Couch-to-5K program has another week. I've been moving through it pretty quickly, bc I want to allow enough time to try out the race course and allow for some un-foreseen problems (like illness or injury or what have you).

Emma has about 2 1/2 weeks left of school. She is looking forward to getting out for the summer. I have been looking into different day-camps to help keep her occupied. So far she has a girl-scout "Twight Camp" (the time of day, not vampire-themed, tyvm), and a basketball camp. Both are a week long. There is also a possible drama camp... we shall see.
