Throughout my running training, I have been using this great app called, "C25K," or Couch to 5K. Well, today, 5 days before my race, I officially completed the program. The first day has you run for 60 second bursts, and ends with 3 miles (although I went the 3.1). A few months ago, I wouldn't have believed that I could run for that long, but I did it!
I will run a few more times this week, including an official "trial run" of the actual race course. I will most likely do that tomorrow, barring some unforeseeable barrier.
I'm excited and also really psyched that my Sister-in-law is doing the race with me. She started running about 2-3 months before I did. This will be her first 5k, also.
