A loss, and a new member of the household...

     A week ago, we received the phone call informing us that my uncle, Mark, had been found dead in his home. He was 57. He had cancer, hep. C, and a variety of other diseases. It was only a matter of time, we all knew. Even so, it was still a shock. My mom and I are the only local family members, so we are left to handle all arrangements and going through his place. It has been stressful and sad, but we are mostly done with the second part (going through his stuff).
     He had two cats. One of Mark's friends said that Mark was most worried about what would happen to his cats when he was gone. The friend offered to take care of the male cat, and Monday, we brought home the other cat. This cat is named "Girl Kitty." We do already have two dogs and two cats, but it didn't really have anywhere else to go. My mom plans on keeping her in her room, for the most part. This is where Snickers, her other cat lives 98% of the time (or something like that).
