when will I ever find a job?

I have been out of school for over a year now (Dec. 2009 is when I got my Master's). I have worked for a few years on a part-time basis, in my chosen field, and a little more than a year full-time.
I hate that it has taken so long. I get discouraged by the lack of work and the fact that I am not getting calls, interview, anything. I did actually have a phone interview this week, but it was with a company I worked for a couple of years ago. It was miserable (the job, not the phone interview).
I am hoping that something happens soon. I am grateful to have been able to survive without working for this long, but I need to go back.

And really... are you telling me there are no people in need of counseling in this world?!?

  1. There is a huge need, but if their funding is federally based...you might be screwed. Do you have a masters or PHd? Are you stuck in TN? What's ur husband do for work?

  2. The funding issue is definetly a big problem. Mental health tends to be pushed to the backburner when any other financial needs come up. I have a master's. No.. not stuck in TN if we had a good reason (read: a job) to move. My husband's work is quite flexable, as he runs a coral reef website (selling the corals for people's tanks, as well as wholesale).
