Emma's trip to the dentist

As those of you that have me on facebook know, Emma went to the dentist this week. She had 5 teeth extracted. It went pretty well. No tears, yelling, or anything. I was more traumatized than her, I think. I am very glad it went well. I kept her home from school the following day, and she was awake at 8:15 jumping around asking for flaming hot cheetos, lol.

The issue is the she has crowding in her mouth. Her adult teeth (on bottom) were already grown in quite a lot, but she still had all but one baby teeth. Removing these teeth is supposed to help give the adult teeth a place to go. This increases the chance that they will grow in straight...er.
She is still gonna need braces. This is not news to us, though. However, the orthodontia will be less extensive... hopefully.
