Had awesome time @ fun. concert!!

On my last post, I wrote about my concern re: the fun. concert on Sept. 22nd. Well, I am glad to report, it did indeed happen. I had such a great time!
Brian and I got there at around 3:30-4 (I think). There was a line, but it wasn't too bad, at that point. The tickets were general admission, so the earlier the better, as far as spot go.
The gates were opened at around 6:30. We hurried (walked quickly, that is. There were people that ran. We didn't). I had the foresight to not bring a bag in, so they didn't need to "check"/search it. Once we got to the ticket scan place and bag check area, I could see the stage. We continued to the stage, and ended up in the 3rd row, directly in center. We were right in front of the mic stand and tip of stage (it formed a point) was above us.
Tegan & Sara opened the show. They were pretty good. Once their set was over, the crews started removing their gear, and uncovering (most of it was at the very back of the stage, covered up with black clothes/tarp-like things). The "gold mic" was place right in front of us, and we knew it was almost time! (For those who don't know, the lead singer, Nate Ruess, has a golden mic he uses now).
The band started from far away, for their "Some Nights (Intro)." Then, for the next (and the songs thereafter) songs, they were right there! Like, really close. The show was great. I wont kill everyone with too many details. I knew pretty much what songs they had been playing on this tour. They did pretty much everything I was hoping for, and more! They had performed on iheartradio festival two nights before with Queen. Fun. did "Somebody to Love" with the band (Nate doing Freddie's vocals, obviously), and "Fat bottomed Girls," with Adam Lambert. So at this show, fun. performed "Somebody to Love." Yay! It was awesome, the whole show was awesome. I am so, so happy that we got to go. Now I'm just sad that I can't go to another fun. concert for quite awhile, bc they are done with their tour, until their new album is done.

And now, a few pictures:
In line

Excited!
