Tomorrow is Emma's birthday. She will be 5 years old. 5! I can't believe how time has really flown. To celebrate, we are baking cupcakes in a little while, which we will bring in to her class tomorrow. Then, in the evening, we will have a dinner of Mac & cheese with garlic bread (her choice), with cake and ice cream. She will get her presents from us, and my mom. Finally, on Sunday, she's having a birthday party at McDonald's (again, her choice). Her whole class is invited, and I hope at least several can make it.
I will post pictures later in the week, as I can.
She is home from from school and playing a Berenstain Bear computer game. She looked at me and asked why I was happy (I was smiling). I told her that I was just writing about how we are going to make cupcakes and about her birthday.
I told her about how I can't believe she is already 5. I told her the story of how 5 years ago today, we had just just gotten the news that I was going to go into the hospital that night to have her. We went to Fizzoli's for a last meal. I told her I had pasta and garlic bread sticks. She asked what she had. I told her, "well you had pasta and breadsticks, because you got what I ate). I said that maybe that's why she loves garlic bread so much. :)
